We Need To Take "A Stand"!

 I use to think that compared to some other countries we were lucky to be living in Canada. I guess in some instances we are still lucky but the stats are going down mighty fast on how lucky we are to be Canadians. Canada is no longer the country it once was.  People are colder.  It's all about Me! Me! Me!  I look at kids today who answer their parents back, swear and have no respect for anyone.  In stores, It use to be that the customer was always right!  Well, not anymore! Today, a lot of them treat the customers like crap. I'm not saying that the salesperson has to kiss the customers feet but respect goes a long way.  How about Airline Flight Attendance?  I think they are one of the worst.  I don't know how many stories I have heard about stewardesses/stewards kicking people off the plane because they looked at them sideways or treated them like second rate citizens.  The morals and values we use to have and teach our children are all but out the window.  Corruption is up, mental health issues, drug and alcohol addiction all seem to be moving up and not down.  What is wrong with this picture?  With everything we know and have information on about drugs, mental and physical health, etc. you'd think that we would be getting better not worse.  What is it going to take to get this county, this world back to some kind of normality?  Just like our environment (which is so fragile), our country is being destroyed by the day. So, I ask you again, what is it going to take?  In the past when things in a country were really going to hell in a handbasket, "REVOLUTIONS" were the answer.  Is that the answer here?  Is this the road we will have to take?  Our Government doesn't seem to hear or listen to what we have to say.  We eventually will have to take  "A STAND"!
Pharmaceutical companies and other big umbrella and subsidiary companies have so much money and power that they have done unspeakable things to our world.  Just Google Pharmaceutical Corruption for starters.  You will find so many stories on what they have done to the people in third world countries, the layman and  the list goes on and on.  And of course the corruption doesn't stop there.  Oh! No!  It continues, and I'm sure you have a good idea who?  If you guessed the Politicians....Ding! Ding! Ding!  You are so right! I'm sure it wasn't hard to figure out.  I've always been a good judge of character and have had good instincts when it comes to people but I really messed up big time when I voted for Justin Trudeau.  I really believed he was going to do a lot of good for this country.  Instead he has made things so much worse. Things have changed so much in this country.  It no longer feels like a free country and it hasn't been for a long time now.  I guess that's just the way "The Powers That Be"  on this earth want it. Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!  Eventually something has got to give though.
Trudeau has let I don't know how many immigrants into this country.  He has allowed them me in because he wants to do something good for his own political ambition. Before I go any further I want to say that to me a Canadian Citizen is a Canadian.  I don't care what race, color  or creed you are. What bothers me and what I care about is that Justin Trudeau will allow immigrants to enter this country and give them financial support, food, shelter and the list goes on before his own people.  How about HELPING the Canadians already in this country.  The Canadian Citizens that actual need help.  You are helping others before you help people in your own backyard.  There are many starving homeless Canadians needing help and a place to call home.  Where are you for your people Justin Trudeau?  The newcomers get lodging first and  quite the sum of money before the Citizens of this country. How is that helping our economy?  How about Seniors?  The ones that were raised in this country. Don't they deserve more medical coverage?  They've paid more than their share of taxes.  
Karma is Justice! And one day we will  all have to answer to someone a lot bigger than anyone on this earth.  How are you going to explain all the wrong you've done to this country and Its people?  Shame on you for not helping your own people Justin Trudeau and Party!

Pumpkin Time! Pumpkin Pie!

I love Halloween and all the ghosts, ghouls and witches that come with it.  I enjoy seeing people in different costumes, but I especially like seeing the little children's costumes when they come up trick or treating at the door.
We have a tradition in our home during the month of October.  We have to watch 2 or 3 supernatural/horror movies a week until Halloween.  We put all the different names of Halloween movies that we want to watch in a box and every week we each pick out a movie. It's a hoot!  Some of these movies leave you holding your breath while others ( although they say it's a horror movie) are so ridiculous you have to laugh.  Anyhoot!  I guess I kind of got carried away.  My real purpose for this blog is my homemade pumpkin pie.  I know that there are a gazillion pumpkin pie recipes out there - so this will be a gazillion and one.  Actually this recipe has been handed down to me by my mom.  It is nothing original, but it has some different touches...for example instead of putting store bought whipping cream I make my own without sugar.  Why without sugar?  Because I think there's enough sugar and sweetness from the filling itself.  I also put shredded coconut on top.  I want to add that the taste is not the same when using a can of pumpkin. If you have the time get the sugar pie pumpkin. It really makes a difference in the taste. I make it almost every year for family and friends and they simply devour it.  Should you decide to make it and try it out, then you can be the judge. The recipe for my pumpkin pie is below.  Let me know what you think about it, but BEWARE one bite and you'll be hooked.  Happy Halloween!

PUMPKIN PIE RECIPE

Preheat oven to 350

- 3 large eggs
- 2 cups fresh pumpkin puree or 1 15 ounce can pure pumpkin.  
- 1/2 cup 18% (table cream) cream.
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar.
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice or allspice (pumpkin spice or allspice is a blend of cinnamon, 
  clove and nutmeg).
- 1/2 teaspoon salt.

MAKING THE PUMPKIN PIE FILLING

If you are going to make the filling from scratch get the sugar pumpkin (also known as pie pumpkin) They come between 2 - 4 pounds.

- Cut the top part of the pumpkin and discard the stem section and the stringy pulp. Save the seeds to roast.
- Cut the pumpkin into 4 sections and place on a lined cookie sheet. I use foil to line the cookie sheet.
- Place each pumpkin section skin side up.
- Bake in a 350 degrees preheated oven for about 45 to 50 minutes, or until tender.
- Once the baked pumpkin has cooled scoop out the meat (also known as the flesh) part and discard the skin. Then puree or mash the flesh.

In a large bowl lightly whisk the eggs. Add the pumpkin puree and the remaining ingredients. Mix with an electric mixer on medium till all ingredients are combined. Pour the mixture into a Graham pie crust and place on  a large baking pan in case of any spills. Bake the pie for about 50 minutes or until the filling is set (the center will look wet). You can also test for doneness by inserting a knife about an inch from side of pan...if the knife comes out clean the pie is done.

Place the baked pie where no one will put their fingers in it.  LOL!  Let it cool before adding the whipping cream.

PUMPKIN PIE TOPPINGS

Just like my pumpkin puree has got to be natural and not from a can so does my whipping cream.  Again it just doesn't taste the same and why add all that added sugar. The filling is sweet enough that you don't need to add anymore sugar, and you can actually taste the pie not just the sugar.  Also, if you use the Graham pie crust, that also has sugar.  I ask you! "How much sugar do you need to enjoy a pie?"  
Alright just a couple of more steps and you can enjoy your pie.
With an electric mixer mix 1 cup whipping cream (35% cream) . The Whipping cream is done when the cream holds peaks but the tips are slightly softened. I usually put the bowl and the handles to the electric mixer in the freezer for 15 minutes before whipping the whipping cream. I find that helps speed up the process with the whipping cream.
When the pie is cool cover the whole top of the pie with the whipping cream.  I put it on thick, but you can add whatever amount you want.  I then sprinkle shredded coconut...you can either put sweetened or unsweetened coconut.  Keep pie refrigerated.

NOW....Get the fork or spoon, dig in and ENJOY!!!

We as citizens of Canada need to put a STOP to Stephen Harper.  How do we do that by voting for Justin Trudeau, Liberals.  In my books Stephen Harper is as close to the Anti Christ as you can get.  He has ruined this country and is making damn sure that Canadians DO NOT have a say in anything.  He thinks that he is the only that should make all the decisions and decide what is good and not good for this country and damn the people. Harper has NO intention of listening to Canadians, helping the poor, making things better for our children's education, take action to fight climate change and making this country our Home and Native Land. 
Harper is continually ruining this country and what it stands for.  He is narcissistic, devious, manipulative, has schizophrenic tendencies and has delusions of grandeur.  
Harper was sworn in as Canada's 22nd prime minister in February 2006 and ever since then our country has been going down hill.  Below is a list of what Harper has done to this country.  The list is not long as it would have taken me too long to write everything that Stephen Harper has done to ruin Canada

- On March 25th, 2011, the Harper administration was found in contempt of Canadian parliament. In Spring of 2011, a federal court found that Harper's Conservatives wilfully violated the $ 18.3 million election spending limit, during the campaign which originally brought them to power in 2006.  
- Harper has cut funding for women's advocacy by 43 percent, shutdown 12 out of 16 Status of Women offices in Canada and eliminated funding of legal voices for women and minority groups.  
- In 2010, public servants from various departments confirmed that Stephen Harper has renamed  'The Government of Canada' to 'The Harper Government'.  Traditionally, the lobby in parliament has been decorated with photos of former Prime Ministers.  Since taking office, Stephen Harper has broken this tradition, decorating the lobby with just himself.   
- The Kelowna accord was a $5 billion breakthrough agreement to improve the quality of health and education for Canada's First Nation's People.  Harper cancelled it in 2006, immediately after taking office. 
- In 2008, Linda Keen, President of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, reported that the aging Chalk River nuclear facility was at a risk 1000 times greater than the international average. Harper quickly fired her. 
- Since taking office, Stephen Harper has weakened regulations so that more pesticide residues can be left on your fruits and vegetables. The plan is to bring Canadian regulations in line with U.S. Levels, which can be up to 100 times higher. Under additional new regulations, corporate food producers will be allowed to conduct their own safety inspections.  In 2008, when Luc Pomerleau, a biologist at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency with a flawless 20 year record with the agency, leaked these plans, he was immediately fired.  Since then, the listeriosis meat outbreak killed 17 Canadians.
- The Harper Conservatives want to buy 65 stealth fighter jets using $29 billion of taxpayers' money.  That works out to around $ 1000 per person in Canada.
- The Conservatives have vowed to implement unprecedented levels of monitoring on Canadians internet activities.  Harper has tried and failed (4 times) to create a law that would implement mass scale internet surveillance, and that would allow the government access to private information without any warrants, and without any court oversight.
- Sabotaging efforts to deal with climate change.
- Harper tried to quietly eliminate the Canadian long form census.
- Stephen Harper  has shut down Canadian aid to the world's most impoverished countries.
- Harper's economic 'recovery' favoured the extremely wealthy.  Over 321,000 Canadians lost their jobs in 2008 and Canadians average wages fell.  Meanwhile Canada's 100 wealthiest persons became richer, reaching an average net worth of $1.7 billion each, up almost 5 percent from 2008.
- In 2007, Harper cut $1.2 billion from the establishment of national childcare, but failed to keep his promise of cutting the $1.4 billion in tax breaks he gives to companies, which continue to see record profits.
- in the 2011 budget, the Harper government failed to allocate any new funding for drinking water on First Nations reserves.  100 First Nations communities currently have water advisories, including 40 communities which are high risk.  He also refuses to sign the UN declaration designating clean water as a human right.

...And these are just a few (of the very many more reasons) reasons of why Stephen Harper should not be Prime Minister

Ask yourself is this who I want to continue running our country? We need to TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY!  We need a Prime Minister that will make Canada what it should be. We need a Prime Minister that will listen to the people and is for the people.  We need a Prime Minister that truly cares about this country.  We need a Prime Minister that knows what the heck their doing.  I believe Justin Trudeau is more than ready to be Prime Minister of Canada. Let's put Harper out once and for all...VOTE LIBERAL FOR A GOVERNMENT TO FINALLY CARE FOR OUR COUNTRY AND ALL THAT IT STANDS FOR!

I had been waiting for such a long time to go to Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto, and when I finally got there I was not disappointed.  I felt like I was in a different world.  In a way I guess I was...the aquatic animal world.  To start off the aquarium featured several aquatic including a walk-through tank.  The aquarium has 5.7 million litres (1.5 million gallons) of marine and freshwater habitats from across the world.  The exhibits hold 13,500 exotic sea and freshwater specimens from more than 450 species.  And I thought the 33 gallon aquarium tank that I had a few years back was big.  There are so many different and beautiful sea creatures and an assortment of programs.  They offer Field Trips, Educational Programs, Stingray Experience, Sleep with the Sharks and more.  It is definitely not something that you can do in a day and it can get a little costly, but I think well worth it.  One of the things that I thought was out-of-this-world was touching and stroking a stingray. They feel soft and slippery, but they seem so friendly and cute. I have to say, one thing that I found irritating was all the pushy and rude people. To be fair I did go on a Friday.  So in a way I did ask for a lot of people to be there.  Next time I go I will go at the least busiest time.  I did manage to get a few decent pictures and videos when people weren't pushing or shoving me around. One thing to remember when you are taking pictures at Ripley's Aquarium, do not use your flash.  Using your flash when taking a picture can result in glaring, uneven colour tones, and unusual shadows.  Also, because of the glare from the glass try taking your picture from an angle and not straight on. If you go when it's not so busy you will probably get much better pictures.  
As I slowly took in the view of these amazing creatures I started to feel a little off.  I started thinking that these aquatic animals were not in their own habitat.  Oh! Sure they were in a huge Aquarium.  The biggest that I'd have ever seen, but not as big as their home, the ocean.  So here I was on one end in awe of this place and these beautiful creatures and on the other end of the spectrum I felt sad and guilty.  I guess guilty because I was contributing to them being in this gigantic aquarium. I finally learned a few things which made me realize that some of these animals are going instinct and this place is doing more good than harm. I found out a lot of good and important things that this place is doing for our fish friends.  It's still not their home, the ocean, but with the environment the way it is today maybe this is better for them.  I am still of two minds about the whole thing, but for now I will remember the experience they left me with.  And with that thought I'd like to share with you some photos I took of these magnificent creatures. HEAR THE CHILDREN: SILENCE IS NOT GOLDEN BUT IT SPEAKS LOUD AND CLEAR

I Keep hearing and reading about Katelijne and the Department Youth Protection and all the unbelievably horrible things she and they are continually doing to this Mother and her family.  I can't believe what this family is still going through.  All they want is their daughter, son, sibling, granddaughter back.  This nightmare has been going on for years now. I know the family that this is happening too very well.  I grew up with the mother and I have seen her with her children.  She is unbelievable!  She loves her children with all that she is and all that she has.  Being a mother myself I've gotten some valuable lessons from her. I've never seen a more dedicated mother. I started writing about what Katelijne and the Department Youth Protection (DYP) have been doing to this family since September 26, 2012, but the nightmare for this family started long before that.  This family wants to wake up from their nightmare but Katelijne with the Department of Youth Protection will NOT let them.  Youth Protection!  Now that's a laugh.  The Mother's adopted daughter that is under the DYP wants to go home, and Katelijne has been doing everything in her power (lying, being manipulative, etc) to stop this wonderful girl into going home to her loving family.  The Mother's adopted son has been in numerous foster homes and this whole ordeal has seriously affected him. Personally, I think Katelijne has a lot of issues to deal with, and the fact that she wants to hurt the mother because she has to prove she is in control is sad and pathetic. I have to ask myself, does it make Katelijne feel good to abuse and hurt this family?  And My answer is yes!   Anybody who has a conscience could not possibly do what Katelijne is doing and feel good about it. There are so many children and families that have had problems with the Youth Protection.  It looks to me that these children are not protected but rejected and subjected to the (DYP)  so called rules and laws.  For example, there are foster children that have been sexual abused by their foster parents.  Why didn't the Youth Protection do a thorough check on these foster parents?  Where is the "Protection"  with the "Youth Protection" for these innocent children?  Power, corruption, money, greed!  Is that also a part of the Youth Protection policy?  It seems to me that they have no morals and ethics and care very little for the well-being of children. As far as I am concerned the actions of Katelijne and the DYP speak all too loud and clear .  When will all this end?  When will these children go home to their Mother?  Well, like I said before actions speak loud and clear.  So if you are reading this, leave a comment or go to the links I provided below and leave a comment there. Yell it out! Spit it out! Shout it out!  Go to whoever will listen!  Unity helps bring hope, progress, action.  Unity also brings strength and where there is strength, there is success.  This is Li with my two cents worth!

It is time for the people of Canada to elect not only a new Prime Minister, but a Prime Minister that actually cares about the people and is for the people.  Harper and his Conservative band of posses
 have done so much damage to this country.  Stephen Harper doesn't care about the people of Canada nor does he care ANYTHING about this country.
We need to look at a new Prime Minister.  Someone new and fresh. Someone that actually is for and cares about this country.  If things don't turn around and we keep Harper as a Prime Minister, Canada will fall.

In the last federal election I was working as a DRO (Deputy Returning Officer).  We had some people come up to me and the Returning Officer, saying that they had received calls to go to another voting station. If they had not gone to their neighbors to find out what was going on they might not have been on time to vote. We had others come and tell us that they had gone to another polling station (after they received one of those calls), only to arrive there and not be able to vote because there is no building. I phoned the office to let them know what happened .  They said they'd check into it and get back to us, but they never did.  After the voting was over we found out that what happened was what is now referred to as "robocalls".  The conservative were phoning people up and telling them to go to other places to vote.  Places where you couldn't vote because there were no building or polling stations there.  I truly believe that the liberals should have won and that the election should have been called.

We need a new and fresh Prime Minister!  One that cares about Canadians and will take a medicare approach to fighting climate change and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Canada.  A Prime Minister that will care about our children schooling, and our economics.
Harper has all but destroyed Canada.  It's time for the people of Canada to take charge and vote for someone that will make this country one to be proud of.  We can NO LONGER sit back and watch Harper destroy it.  Stephen Harper is NOT Prime Minister material.  He is a crook, a thief and one that doesn't care about this country or our children and their future.  This is no longer an opinion this is a fact.  If we keep Harper on as a Prime Minister our children and our children's children will not have much left, if anything. I have seen children in high school that can barely read because there has been so many cutbacks in the education system.  Do you honestly think Harper cares if your child can read or write or anything about the education system?  I grew up in the 60's and 70's and I can remember being able to read and write in grade school.  If we as Canadians do not do something to change things, then NOTHING will change. This is suppose to be our home.  I believe it is time that as true Canadians that we fight back for our country...Our Home!

Since Harper has been Prime Minister, can we still honestly call this a parliamentary democracy?  Democracy by definition means the government by the people. That means that all the people should be able to have their say in one way or another in everything that affects our lives. I find that since Harper has been Prime Minister this country has been more of a Dictatorship. Harper and his conservative party should respect human rights and the rule of law.  Harper is a power hungry thug who cares absolutely NOTHING for the citizens of Canada.
Lets take back our country and vote for a Prime Minister that cares for Canada and it's citizens.  
I have seen my share of Prime Ministers come and go.  And I have to say, of all the Prime Ministers that have been in power Stephen Harper is by far the scariest.  I don't know about you, but I don't want someone to run a country that scares me. Don't get me wrong I am not afraid of him, but I am afraid of what he can and is doing to this country, the citizens and to the future of Canada.

We are still lucky for we can still vote for who we want (as long as robocalls are not put in) , so It is time to vote in this coming election for a Prime Minister that will care.  We would be very sad and angry indeed if we would have our voting privileges taken away...and keeping Harper in office it could surely happen. You have the power in this coming election to vote and make a difference...a difference in saving this country and making a better future for our children and theirs. Obviously my vote is definitely NOT going for the Conservative Harper Government, but it is going for Justin Trudeau, the Liberals. Why?  There are many reasons why?  The main reason being (after I researched and weighed out all the pros and cons) that he will make this country what it should be, what it was once and what it will be again. Not to mention that the citizens of this country and our children will have a future and a country that they can be proud of...that they can call Canada!

Where do we draw the line on how much power the Department of Youth Protection (DYP) has? Or for that matter the individual that works with the DYP?  One Mother decided not to take things lying down. One Mother decided to persevere. One Mother decided to tell the truth. One Mother is fighting to get her children back for something she NEVER did.  This Mother is Pamela.  The mother of 4 beautiful children.

Family Suffers At the Hand of the Department of Youth Protection (DYP) in 

I have heard my share of sad and horrible stories about the DYP  from families from all over since I've been working on Pamela and her family's story.  It's amazing how many people decide to come forward and tell their story when they see one person fighting for what is right and not giving up. I can see from Pamela and other families (that I've heard stories from) how hard it is to come out and stick to your guns.  Especially, when the system is corrupt. There are also times when the family gets discouraged. Especially when a judge says that your child cannot come home because you are feeding him good food.  That statement to me is the most ridiculous thing a judge or anyone for that matter can say.  To think that giving your child good food is a bad thing. Since Pamela's two children have been under the care of the DYP they have had more illnesses than any time in their Mother's care. There was also Katejline from the DYP who said "Pamela's oldest daughter would never amount to anything because she has gone back home to her Mother".  What a horrible and unprofessional  statement for Katejline to say. Pamela's daughter decided to run away from the DYP because she didn't like how she was treated and wanted to go home to her mother.  A mother by the way who loves and cares for her daughter and all her children very much. Is Katejline that hateful of Pamela?  Who does Katejline really care for?  For some reason I don't think It's the children.

I've also seen what she has to go through...and the bottom line is that
the DYP and certain people will start almost anything because of jealousy and/or hatred...and this is true of the girl who started the lie and put this family through the ringer and back.  How many other families have had to go through what Pamela and her family have had to go through? How many other families have lost their children through lies, manipulation, jealousy, greed, power...
When people are given too much power they think that they can step on anybody and do anything...to hell with the innocent children or good mothers and fathers.  A line has to be drawn.  We can't have the Department of Youth Protection (DYP) and people associated with the DYP take children out of good homes and have the family's life turned upside down.  It is not only WRONG, it is also immoral and unethical.  It's time to take back our rights.  Pamela's children want to go home and from where I sit need to go home.  They need love and care...they need their Mother.  They need  to go home and have good wholesome  food...Not the slop they're getting where they are.  "You are what you eat".   And last but by no means least  These amazing children need each other, they need their Mom.  They are the best when they are together. These children have grown so beautifully because of their Mother , each other and their grand parents. They are a family that give each other strength, support and above all love.  They need to smile and laugh again.  They need to be with their Mother. Home is where the heart is and they need to get that heart back, because their heart is where their home is, with their Mom and each other.

Unexplained Figures, Anomaly and Orbs

Throughout my life I have seen unusual and unexplained things.  I have encountered things that you would not believe, but what's happened to me and the things that I have seen is best left for another time...another blog.  For now I will stick to the Unexplained Figures, Anomaly and Orbs.


I often videotape storms. This particular thunder and lightning storm took place on July 2013. After I video taped my storm I downloaded it on my computer, and upon viewing it I noticed these figures and strange anomaly...It's around 00:07, 00:08 and 00:15 on the video timer. At the00:07 mark you will see a figure walk by. At the 00:08 you will see a strange blackish floating anomaly, and at 00:15 you will see 2 figures walk back the other way. I live on the 7th floor and I was filming inches away from the window where there also was no balcony. There is no way anyone could have walked across as there is nothing out there to walk on. Me and a friend of mine tried to videotape and get a similar effect through shadow or reflection, but were unable to re-create the figures or anything resembling the image. Strange but true!

I have also included some photos.  It was almost a full moon on the night of June 10, 2014.  It was partly cloudy, but there was no precipitation that night. On a more personal level, I have to say that while I was taking these photos I did feel something different in the air. It wasn't anything ominous or bad, just an overwhelming feeling of something different all around. I know that may sound weird to some of you, but these things happen to others quite often. Trust yourself, trust your instincts, you never know what you'll see!

As soon as I have some extra time I will be writing some of my own personal stories on my paranormal experiences that have happened to me throughout my life.

Family Suffers At the Hand of the Department of Youth Protection (DYP) in Ste-Agathe, Quebec

And The Truth Shall Set Us Free...!

Corruption and crime are everywhere, but when It happens in your own backyard it becomes more than that. Government officials, lawyers, judges and police officers have a responsibility to uphold the law. Unfortunately, some are as corrupt and dishonest as they come.  In this particular situation it is the Department of Youth Protection (DYP) in Ste-Agathe, Quebec.

I wrote a blog a couple of years ago on "Mother Fighting for her Special Needs Children's Human Rights".
This blog is a continuation of that sad but too real story.  My friend of over 35 years and her 4 Children have been put through the wringer and back (and that is a gross understatement) by the Department of Youth Protection (DYP) in Ste-Agathe, Quebec.

This mother is working overtime to get her two adopted special need children back from the DYP.  Her eldest daughter also had her own experiences with the DYP.  What the DYP put her through caused her a great amount of anxiety and no hope for her future.  I ask you, What kind of Youth Protection makes a 16 year old girl feel that way? This girl repeatedly told the DYP that she wished to go home, but their ears were closed to that.  They gave her all sort of lame excuses.  Distraught and overcome with how they were treating her she finally took matters into her own hands and took a bus home where she has never been happier.

The mother of these children is an amazing woman.  She has her MA in  in Special Education and has been a foster mother for a good 25 years, but that's not what makes her amazing.  What makes her amazing is how dedicated to her children she's been and how much she love she gives them.

The whole nightmare with the Department of Youth Protection (DYP) started when a former worker of the mother went to the local authorities to report that the mother used excessive control on her children, including (and I shake my head on how they wasted the tax payers money on this next one) having them on a dairy-free, gluten-free diet. That is the reason ladies and gentlemen for taking those children away from their happy home. My friend and mother of these 4 children has been consistent with her children (not excessively controlling) and that is a good thing.  Having two grown sons myself I know that consistency plays an important role in being a good parent. This next part is for certain people who are totally in the "I" Zone ("I" stands for "Idiot") when it comes to eating healthy...such as food sensitivity and/or have allergies to dairy and/or sugar. Dairy-free and gluten-free diet are intended for people with legitimate health concerns. Some parents, doctors and researchers are seeing the positive benefits that a dairy-free, gluten-free diet has on autistic children - such as, very noticeable changes in their child's behaviour and learning progress. These are just a few of the many wonderful benefits that a dairy-free and gluten-free diet has.  I have gone off the topic a bit with information on the dairy and gluten free diet, but it was important for people to see that the DYP doesn't look at the good and positive.  You kind of have to ask yourself...Why?

Since the 2 children were taken by the DYP and put in foster care they have NOT been doing well. The little boy has had quite a few skin conditions, bruises on his arms and legs, a burn a few months ago with the stove, illnesses, operations, and he is hurting others and yelling foul language when he can't do something.  It makes me sad and disgusted to see what is happening to him, because when he was living at home he was always a happy and well adjusted boy.

The little girl goes to hotels in her neighbourhood and Montreal. The mother is not permitted to ask why. The girl can never invite friends in her foster home or go to other homes of friends.  She is trapped from any and all communication other than the ones who want to keep hiding the truth.

Right now I am asking myself more questions than I am getting answers.  For instance, Why are these children getting so sick? Why can't they make phone calls to one another or send emails?  The mother can only see the children every two weeks but will be forced to share her time. Why is the mother and the family allowed so little time?  Why are children being torn away from good homes and going into foster care?   Maybe we should let the facts speak for themselves...

Kids found from trafficking this week 168 in USA and 140 in Ottawa,  are not even reported missing and here are some of the clues needed to understand this mystery better.

ONE simple reason is the fact that they are UNDER the PROTECTION of the “Youth Protection”.  The parents were systematically torn away from the children's lives, so they can be trafficked freely around the world! 

BUT with so much media reporting on child trafficking, questions are being asked about youth protection involvement!  Kids from youth protection are so vulnerable when family is isolated/alienated from any and all family…..  anything can happen when there is no one around to care for and love them and protect them.

It seems to me that children in the "Youth Protection" are not protected as well as we think they are. As a matter of fact they are NOT being protected at all.

I know in my heart and soul and beyond a shadow of a doubt that she is a mother that any child would be happy and proud to have.  She loves her children and they love her.  These children have flourished because of this mother's care and love. As I said before I have known this mother for over 35 years and she is a strong individual, but as strong as she is, seeing her children under the so called care of the Department of Youth Protection (DYP) has taken It's toll on her.  Though no matter how much It has affected her she will keep fighting until she gets her children back home...where they belong!  Family and friends are also behind this mother and will continue to help and show support. These children need to come home to their mother and a healthy environment. 

The Department of Youth Protection (DYP) may think that the truth can be hidden with a little cover-up and decoration. But as time goes by, the truth will be revealed.

Mother Fighting for her Special Needs Children's Human Rights

This post is about a very dear and close friend of mine who had 2 of her 4 children wrongfully taken from her...

I have been friends with this mother  for over 35 years.  Ever since I have known  her she has always known what she wanted to do and who she wanted to be, and has worked very hard to attain her goals. Pam has her Masters in Early Childhood Education. She is a single mother with 4 children. She is a remarkable mother and human being. Pam is constantly doing things for her children and with her children. Her love, dedication, character, strength and consistency are what she has given to her children.  It is hard enough to be taken away from your home, but there was no reason for these kids to be taken from their home, their mother, and their siblings.  The two children who also have special needs, and to be ripped and torn away from their home is emotionally, mentally and physically harmful to these two innocent children. 

As I sit here writing this I cannot believe that this has happened to my friend, who's dedication and love has been solely for her children.  It is time the system starts looking after parents that are guilty, NOT INNOCENT like this mother.

Children can not be held as hostages! I have not held J in 12 days! I have only seen C for one hour with strict supervision in all the 12 days! OUR family is all they know!

 The only way to stop this abuse of power is thru the media I am told. I have always valued and looked up to you and your understanding heart!

Me. Karounis from Me. Julius Grey's office would be happy to speak with you. Me. Karounis is filing with human rights and will get others to sit in on what is going on in court! Clearly we are being discriminated against.

Me Karounis is with Me. Julius Grey's office. We have had 2 meetings in front of judges. The prejudice is horrific! My children have had no contact with family members in 10 days. NOTHING is in our file warrants taking the kids from the home and from every single person that loves them!

Torturing two kids and keeping them away from all family when... family is all they know is horrifying, and causes so much harm for the stability of these children.

At court Thursday September 20th,2012 we had the children's grandparents( my very involved parents), their aunt (my sister) and Chanysse family (her bio mom and uncle) all there ready to take the children until this terrible tragedy is resolved!

The judge said she could not make up her mind and was away on vacation for 2 weeks. She said the kids will be fine staying AWAY from home and family until then?

After 10 days of NO contact already, another 14 days away may happen unless an appeal is filed and accepted.... explaining HOW kids with autism can be severely damaged psychologically with no loving members around suddenly to care for them!

Explaining how Chanysse is extremely close with members in her life, and the abandonment that she must be feeling is terrible!

Jezeriah does not even get to go to his loving school! He is secluded 3 hours away from home!

My dad had 1 contact after driving 3 hours to see J! It was horrible! J never left my dad's lap and when it was time to leave J was very disturbed!

I sent in a special ipod full of his best music and he was able to be consoled somewhat with this music using his headphones.

I spoke with J on the phone 2x and the first time he cried and just kept saying MUMMY! Tarah he needs his home and loving family members around him! Another 2 weeks could destroy all we worked so hard on to keep him learning and advancing. Kids with special needs have LOVE and hearts and are entitled to HUMAN RIGHTS

C too has no contact with family members surrounding her thru all this.

C is in a French home and must have a French lawyer representing! Chanysse understood nothing of what was said to her by her lawyer last month. Thankfully

her older sister was there to translate and make the language easier for C to understand. BUT C's older sister said, even some of what this lawyer said to her was not clear to her who is 16 and fluent in French!

C is diagnosed with severe dysphasia a serious language disability.

They are trying to get C's testimony on the phone all with this French lawyer! I can't tell you how prejudice this entire thing is!

Please contact Me.Karounis --- --- ---. She is waiting for your call! These children need professionals who see them daily and KNOW and LOVE them to speak the truth as quickly as possible!

The only testimony they rely on thus far is a disgruntled driver with no education, that I permitted to do some driving and cleaning for me. She is very angry to have lost her job and only income.

We can't use names in a media story... BUT can explain the serious challenges kids like C face and who people knowing these types of kids is important to act quickly in view there cam be bowel blockages, spinal compression signs to look for, tethering, urinary complications happening very quickly needing immediate attention! Knee problems, bowing etc...! C should not have her bedroom if she is required to use stairs to get there! She needs to be limited with stairs due to achondroplasia and their knee "physiology".

KNOW both sides before YOU act. KNOWING this now makes accountability happen!

Urgent support needed! Youth protection came to my children's school at 2pm Friday. The principal and staff were in shock as they walked away with Jezeriah ( who has down syndrome+autism) and C (Achondroplasia, spina bifida, arnold chiari).

The kids were always in excellent health, happy, well fed, and no problems in there day to day routines. I only found out at 430pm , when I arrived home from shopping that my kids were whisked away by DYP! I got on excellent with all the staff. I value trust and appreciate all the staff!

A disgruntled person who helped with some transportation of the kids, said very false statements about my children, just because I was not going to keep her on to work!

She got rather desperate because the government seized her bank account and all her assets! She was going to file a complaint, unless I pay her extra money and keep her working.

After letting her go she went straight to DYP and told them so many things that were not true! Hawkesbury rehab, Montreal Children's, Shriners, Marie Enfants, St Justine's, school daycamp, and our community see how happy Chanysse and Jezeriah are year after year!

Even C's bio mom sees C often in our home and is very pleased with what she sees!!!

Instead of checking with professionals or the school. where the kids go daily...., the DYP prefers to listen to this driver person! NOW, I am permitted no contact and have no way to know how C and J are doing!

The foster home was not told about her condition at all apparently, as far as I know! C could be in grave danger as a result and at serious risk of being inadequately cared for!

C has had 3 spinal surgeries! She has a spinal fusion! She could use a trampoline, or do other things not good for her physically! She could really injure her spine!

They do not know what to do to stop her pain in her back! She sleeps without her special matt that has magnets and stops her pain every night! C could not sleep at all her first night there! I have no idea if this has changed! NOT sleeping is very hard on anyone!

C was told by her social worker that her mommy does not have time for her so she is going to stay in a foster home!

C must be devastated to here such a damaging comment!

C was following an excellent diet and it supported her so much! In the past C had pneumonia with certain foods. In her new home DIETS are costly so C has eaten drank many foods which affect her. In court the judge was told all the KIDS diet and programs are being Followed!
C had very high sugar levels with sugar drinks (28). No one is aware of even her epi-pen for milk allergies! In fact ..she does not even have her epi-pen! C thinks she needs to eat what is in front of her and would not talk about herself being allergic to the milk or problems the sugar causes to her blood sugar levels! DYP has all the medical files and should know this.

With no one that knows C and J around then at their new home, I am very distressed to know how they are doing!

My eldest daughter, managed to be able to speak with C (her younger sister) on the phone for a few minutes and clearly C was not herself!

Chanysse's and Jezeriah's whole life has been with family! Keeping her away from everyone, even her real parents is horrible! C's grandparents want access to C and are unable!

Everyone felt so comfortable at Morin Heights with the kids! AND the principal of the last 2 years has been exceptional! C was able to go to school today I was told. J remains locked away far from anyone or anything familiar! Kids taken away MUST GO to relatives if possible! I have 6 relatives willing to take them IN! WHY was this ignored? HOW can this be GOOD! YOU know the TORTURE and psychological abuse these sweet innocent souls....are already being PUT thru for 6 days NOW!

All the staff were excellent and love my children! It is terrible that Jezeriah can't go back to school to keep some form of normalcy!!

J love this school so much! This school did a world of good for the kids in everyway!

The place where J is already has a serious case before the courts for severe physical abuse! A young boy was cared for and he was covered in bruises and terrified when he came home from a respite giving families time off from special needs children. Another case of problems can be heard in a radio show, and another newspaper article.

This organization only saw Jezeriah very briefly in June and August 2012. I was told because my 2 boys have no behavior problems they will put the case on HOLD for support. YET they HOLD my son??

No one knowing recent sleep routine, medications, he receives, digestives , supports to the immune system, probiotics, and special diets for autism, J has been without all these things since last Thursday for the very fist time in his life! To top it off, he is in a strange place!

These are very important regimes done to keep Jezeriah at his BEST, since he was 6 months old! Jezeriah is now 7 and never missed a day of this regime!

J would get terrible thrush, rashes, eye infections, runny noses, pneumonia, and the runs which all stopped when this regime was introduced! J would become very constipated with rice and needs to drink a water juice combo throughout the day. All these little understandings of J and his health is so important! His health was always excellent at school and day camp! J was given a bagel I am told! Kids with autism CLEARLY should not have these foods! All my life I worked so hard to keep HIM well! Follow every way possible to keep his health and well being in check!

J has stop/ start peeing problems that need to be understood and a strict regime carried out so his level of urine does not get too high! Too much urine can affect and damage kidneys! At camp new his new 1-1 teacher for special needs kids needed to come to my home and learn about J. Then I spent 2 days at camp going over things and being around for questions!

Julius Grey and Me. Karounis + his team have taken on our case at almost no charge! They are filing a human rights complaint and will work to free the children as quickly as possible! Please call her at--- --- --- and get these children to family!

Me. Karounis was almost in tears when she went into court and heard how terribly, I have been treated since 2008 with DYP's extreme prejudices! Their is a total lack of respect and understanding of special needs children like Jezeriah and C!

My parents, my sister and anyone from the school has been refused any rights to see Jezeriah or keep the children! THE DYP team wanted to get home they said and had no time over the weekend.

I could not even speak on the phone to C. It has been 4 days already with absolutely no contact from familiar people to see them and verify if the children are OK!

These kids have special needs, and require knowledgeable people around them!

Please let me know what can be done with about getting familiar people to support C and J during this terrible time!

Dr. Barry Breger is our family doctor for 9 years and was never contacted before removing the children! He lives in my neighborhood and visits me on his bike to say HI to us, and see how we are doing!

Dr. Breger visits and does not call first, he surprises us + welcome him with open arms! Dr. Breger is willing to speak with anyone to make sure the children are permitted access to see the children! Dr. Breger can be reached at --- --- --- He is cc'd in this email! YOU can do what is right and contact our family doctor! It should have been done before these innocent souls left our home! There were many other professional people in my home seeing the kids routines....but they were never contacted! They will be in court.....then JUSTICE and accountability follows! YOU can wrong a right before it is too late!

Familiar people need to be checking in on J often to make sure they are OK for the days they are with strangers! These children have never ever been away from family members in their whole LIFE!!! Please PRAY for my angels!
